TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions apply to any service commissioned to be provided by London Stone Carving Ltd (whose registered office is 64d East Dulwich Road, London England SE22 9AT, Company number: 11389394 registered in England and Wales)  to you, the Client.

1.  Acceptance

 

1.1    The terms and conditions apply automatically once the Client commissions a service from London Stone Carving Ltd, even if no formal document is signed. By using the services, the Client is deemed to have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions in full.

 

1.2    Please carefully read these terms and conditions before using our services or commissioning work.

 

2.  Price Quotations

 

2.1    London Stone Carving Ltd will provide the Client with a price quotation for the services upon request, via email. The quotation is valid for 60 days. After this period, London Stone Carving Ltd reserves the right to alter or refuse to honour the quotation.

 

2.2    London Stone Carving Ltd will provide a quote based on the information provided by the client, if upon commencement of the work any new information or factors arise, London Stone Carving Ltd reserves the right to adjust the quote accordingly.

 

3.  Additional Expenses

 

3.1    The Client is responsible for reimbursing London Stone Carving Ltd for any additional expenses incurred in completing the work, such as shipping charges or extra travel expenses for delivery.

 

4.  Design Provision

 

4.1    If the Client provides design drawings or images for the commissioned work, they must ensure that they have permission to use such designs and do not breach any copyright laws.

5.  Artwork Progress

 

5.1    London Stone Carving Ltd will email progress photos of the artwork to the Client during the creation process at request, along with an estimated completion date. Minor alterations to the design content can be made at this stage. Major changes will incur additional cost.

 

5.2    London Stone Carving Ltd reserves the right to share "work in progress" photos on social media, unless the Client expresses a wish for this not to be done, or a non disclosure agreement is signed.

 

5.3    Once the artwork is complete, London Stone Carving Ltd will email the Client a photo of the finished stone carving or invite them for a studio visit. Only very minor adjustments can be made at this stage.

 

6.  Copyright

 

6.1    London Stone Carving Ltd retains the copyright to the artwork created from the Clients' design. The artwork cannot be reproduced, and its usage is not permitted on any other website apart from London Stone Carving Ltd's website and social media pages, without permission from both London Stone Carving Ltd and the Client.

 

6.2    London Stone Carving Ltd reserves the right to display the artwork on their website and social media pages. If the Client is unhappy about the artwork being displayed, they must declare this upon placing the commission.

 

6.3    The Client retains ownership of the artwork but must obtain permission from London Stone Carving Ltd to share images or videos of it on social media or make any reproductions. 

 

6.4    If London Stone Carving Ltd has given permission to share images or videos of the works, full credits to London Stone Carving Ltd must be clearly shown.

 

7.  Deposit

 

7.1    To confirm a commission slot, London Stone Carving Ltd requires a non-refundable 50% deposit from the Client.

 

8.  Payments

 

8.1    Invoices will be issued by London Stone Carving Ltd upon completion of the artwork and before collection/delivery. Invoices are primarily sent via email, but the Client must provide a current postal address. Payment in full is due within 7 days of the invoice. London Stone Carving Ltd does not accept part payments or payments in instalments, unless agreed to by both parties prior to the issuing of the invoice.

 

8.2    London Stone Carving Ltd accepts payment by Bank Transfer or Cheque. Payment details will be provided on the invoice

 

9.  Termination before Completion of Commission

 

9.1    If the Client terminates the services of London Stone Carving Ltd after agreeing to a commission but before the commissioned project is complete, London Stone Carving Ltd reserves the right to retain any non-refundable deposits paid.

 

9.2    Should the Client cancel the commission agreement after the artwork has been completed, London Stone Carving Ltd reserves the right to invoice for the full amount, minus any non-refundable deposits already paid.

FOR OUR STONE CARVING COURSE

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before purchasing the Stone Carving Course. By enrolling in the course, you agree to these terms and conditions.

  1. Course Description 

    The stone carving course is a hands-on course that teaches the basic techniques of stone carving. The course is designed for beginners and covers the fundamentals of stone carving including selecting and preparing stone, tools, and techniques.
     

  2. Course Schedule 

    The course consists of two classes, each 6.5 hours in length. The course schedule will be provided to you upon enrolment.                        
     

  3. Payment 

    Payment for the course is due in full at the time of enrolment. Payment is non-refundable.

     

  4. Cancellations and Rescheduling 

    The course may be cancelled or rescheduled by the instructor due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather or illness. In the event of cancellation, you will receive a full refund. In the event of rescheduling you will be given the option to attend the rescheduled class or receive a full refund.

     

  5. Materials 

    All materials necessary for the course will be provided by the instructor. You are not required to bring any materials unless instructed to do so by the instructor.  
                                                           

  6. Liability

    Stone carving involves the use of sharp tools and heavy materials. While every effort will be made to ensure your safety during the stone carving course, you acknowledge and assume the risks associated with stone carving. You agree to release and hold harmless the instructor and any assistants or affiliates from any liability arising from your participation in the course.

     

  7. Conduct 

    The s
    tone carving course is a learning environment, and as such, you are expected to conduct yourself in a professional and respectful manner at all times. Any behaviour deemed disruptive or inappropriate by the instructor may result in your removal from the course without refund.
     

  8. Intellectual Property

    All materials, including but not limited to handouts, course notes, and instructional videos, provided to you as part of the stone carving course are the intellectual property of London Stone Carving Ltd and are protected by copyright law. You agree not to reproduce or distribute any course materials without the written permission of London Stone Carving Ltd. 
     

  9. Modification of Terms and Conditions

    These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time at the discretion of London Stone Carving Ltd. You will be notified of any changes via email or other written communication.
                      

  10. Governing Law

    These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom. 

     

  11. By enrolling in the Stone Carving Course, you acknowledge that you have read and understand these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
