Tom Nicholls created a new memorial statue to commemorate the former RAF base, RAF Newton in Nottinghamshire. The based played a crucial role during World War Two, and has now been redeveloped for housing by Redrow Homes who commissioned the work. The statue was modelled in clay before being cast in bronze at the Bronze age foundry in London. The statue sits on a carved Portland stone plinth.
