Amelia Crowley-Roth

Master wood carver, stone carver and artist, trained in London and based in Somerset Amelia is the newest co-director of London Stone Carving. She holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and a PG Dip in Woodcarving and Gilding at City and Guilds of London Art School, both with First Class honours and multiple awards and scholarships. After graduating in 2015 she worked full time as a woodcarver completing high-end commissions including a Crozier for the Pope’s presentation gift to the Archbishop of Canterbury on his visit to the UK, and exhibited at various events including London Craft Week, the V&A, Lincoln Cathedral and Windsor Castle. She was awarded the Art School’s first Decorative Surfaces Fellowship in 2016/17, a collaboration with the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers before moving back to her home county of Somerset. 

 

At London Stone Carving, Amelia realises her passion for design and artistic creation through developing the initial sketches and  maquettes that are pivotal to each sculpture.
